Are we right for YOU?

This is what we provide:

MAXIMUM CHOICE OF SETTINGS: We have performed contract services for 18 out of the 29 Orange County districts, on a part or full time basis, in the last five years.  We have also performed substantial services in the surrounding areas (the Long Beach to La Habra corridor, the 91 and 60 corridor toward Riverside/San Bernardino, and the Northern San Diego area.) We typically have three positions offered for every position we accept.

CLINICIAN SUPPORT/CASELOAD LIMITATIONS: PCSS requires controlled caseloads to facilitate high quality service and to limit clinician stress. Before an SLP/SLPA is offered a contract, the district/school must agree to rigid caseload limitations. If these limitations are exceeded, we have immediate and specific strategies to handle the excess students, including providing therapists who will give support and help complete additional paperwork and IEPs.

MINIMAL BUREAUCRACY: You dictate your contracted rate, geographic range, desired caseload, and schedule.

SUPERIOR PARTNERSHIP: Our SLPs/SLPAs are partners in excellence, not cogs in a big machine. Our reputation is superior in the community we serve because our clinicians are superior. We never forget this fact. As administrators, we look for opportunities to assist you. With 36 years of combined experience providing school based speech therapy, we understand your challenges firsthand.

AUTONOMY: We seek clinicians who are passionate about their profession, and are interested in providing services in an environment with maximum autonomy and minimum bureaucracy. Most of our clinicians are contracted, which offers tax savings, but others choose to be employees.

  • 30% of our current clinicians have private practices in addition to subcontracting through Pacific Coast Speech Services, Inc. Contracting two to three days a week (for example) provides a reliable income stream while building an outside practice.
  • 10% of our clinicians have sold or closed thriving private practices to contract with PCSS in order to escape administrative headaches, maximize their hourly income, and spend more time with their family.
